Still in Div 1
Match vs Hard Pack 20's - 23 July 2006
We won 5-1, Simon scored majority of goals and had a great attacking presence. The boys did well holding back hard pack in defense, but without Simon our attacking mindset becomes really limited. I think we need to play Quoc up forward a lot more so he can weave some magic and then henry and heng on the wings providing support, something we should consider in case Simon is not available for a match!
Overall we did reasonably well, it was a really messy game. Hand grenade henry threw one at one of the other team guys and got yellow carded, it was quite blatant and right in front of the ref! However henry's second yellow came later in the game, TOTALLY unjustified, bad call ref. Henry's 5 minute sin bin stint didn't phase us too much as we held strong enough to not concede during this period. However against more skilled teams this could be a big problem.
Anyway, this week's game sees us come up against Sholin, we've had near punch on's the last 2 times, see how this one eventuates. Also we're still in div 1 it seems, with the usual bunch but in addition we have "Box Canyon 2" and "D.S.G" as newcomers (in name at least). Hopefully they're fair players.
